Tai Chi Chuan Fan Form - Tuesday 5:15 PM (Apr 1 - May 27)

It is recommended that participants have some previous experience with a solo Yang Style form before taking this class. This ancient exercise combines the relaxed fluid movements of Tai Chi with the artistic and martial aspects of the fan. The Fan Form is ideal for greater flexibility and balance, increased energy, stronger hearts and better circulation. Warm up and Qi Gong exercises will precede each class. Fans will be available to borrow or bring your own.

Kangatraining - Saturday 11:45 AM (Apr 12 - Jun 7)

Kangatraining is a complete workout during which cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and strength are enhanced. Moms don't need to worry about finding a babysitter because the babies are worn on them and get to be part of the action! As well as the physical benefits, there is the opportunity to meet other local moms in a fun, relaxed environment that boosts their emotional wellbeing. Babies and toddlers are welcome (6 weeks to school-aged and have been all-cleared by your health professional).

MidLife Muscle and Hustle - Tuesday 7:30 PM (May 13 - Jun 17)

Intermediate Bike Skills - Thursday 6:00 PM (May 22 - May 22)

Learn the necessities and gain confidence riding your bike to work, school, and other daily destinations. This course will help you gain skills and knowledge to ride confidently and safely in the urban context. You will review the basics of bike maintenance, wayfinding, rules of the road and pathway etiquette, safety and bike parking. Taught by a an experienced Bike Right Certified instructor from Elevation Outdoors, this will be a small-class (max of 6 participants).

Swimmer 7 – Rookie Patrol - Saturday 9:00 AM (Apr 26 - Jun 21)

Swimmers continue developing front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke. Swimmers develop individual fitness to meet a timed 100m swim and 350m workout. Water proficiency skills include swimming with clothes, ready position, and feet-first/head-first surface dives. Demonstrating the ability to conduct a primary assessment and calling EMS are included as first aid skills. Victim recognition and throwing assists are other key elements of the program.
