F.A.M.E (Fitness and Mobility Exercise) - Monday 2:00 PM (Aug 10 - Aug 27)
FAME (Fitness and Mobility Exercise) is a community-based program for stroke survivors and is designed specifically and proven to improve fitness, mobility and strength. The small group class includes functional strength, agility and balance exercises. Suitable for people at any time after stroke who can stand for 5 minutes, walk for four metres (even with a walking aid) and communicate with the instructor. You may be called by researchers at UBCO to ask if you would like to participate in a research study.

Spanish Level 1 - Tuesday 6:00 PM (Jul 14 - Aug 18)
This is a course designed for those who have an interest in learning Spanish, either for traveling or your pleasure but have never had Spanish instruction before. Lessons are fun, relaxed and non-intimidating. The objective is to provide an introduction to the basics of the language, with useful phrases and vocabulary.
Music Moves Me - Thursday 6:15 PM (Jul 9 - Aug 13)
Some dance, combined with full body strength, complete core and other tempo training treats. Let the music and the fun shape your exercises experience. Designed with over 40yr olds in mind and inclusive for all body types and fitness levels.
Pilates & More - Friday 1:15 PM (Jul 10 - Sep 4)
Learn foundational Pilates principles and key exercises that support good postural alignment, competent core strength and mobile joint function. Be ready to breathe deeper, stand taller and feel more connected and balanced in your body. This program is not recommended for people with osteoporosis or osteopenia.

Beach Volleyball - Co-ed Intermediate - Thursday 6:00 PM (Jul 9 - Sep 3)
These Co-ed Beach Volleyball Leagues are for teams who have advanced beyond the recreational level, but are not yet at the Competitive division level. All games played at City Park & Gyro Park Beach Volleyball Courts. Teams must supply their own ball. Prizes for playoff divisional winners. Co-ed teams are made up of a 4:2 gender ratio (self-identified). A minimum of 2 players of the same gender per team must be on the court at all times.
Beach Volleyball - Co-ed Rec. - Thursday 6:00 PM (Jul 9 - Sep 3)
For teams who play for fun with beginner to moderate skills that try blocking and spiking with inconsistent results. Co-ed teams are made up of a 4:2 gender ratio (self-identified). A minimum of 2 players of the same gender per team must be on the court at all times. All teams will qualify for playoffs. Prizes for divisional playoff winners. All teams must supply their own ball.
Tennis - Register & Play - Beginner - Tuesday 6:30 PM (Aug 4 - Aug 25)
Participate in weekly, non-instructional organized games set within a social environment, featuring varying match formats. This program is intended for individuals at the beginner level. Matches may be conducted as singles or doubles. Participants must supply their own racquets; balls will be provided.
Tennis - Register & Play - Intermediate - Thursday 6:00 PM (Aug 6 - Aug 27)
