Intro to Tai Chi- Yang Style - Monday 7:00 PM (Jun 18 - Jun 26)

This course is intended to be an introduction to Tai Chi Chuan. When practicing this martial art, the practitioner combines relaxed fluid movement with a calm, alert mental state. Clinical tests have shown those who practice Tai Chi have stronger hearts, better circulation and greater flexibility. We will begin with warm ups exercises and Qigong before moving into the beginning of a Tai Chi form.

Karate Shotokan - Adult & Youth - All Levels - Wednesday 7:30 PM (Apr 16 - Jun 11)

Karate is great for self-defense, general fitness, or just build your self-confidence. This low-contact class will help you develop flexibility, coordination, fitness, and a variety of other mental and physical benefits. We believe in starting where you're at, and building off of that. Training both nights is recommended, but not mandatory.

F.A.M.E (Fitness and Mobility Exercise) - Tuesday 2:30 PM (May 20 - Jun 26)

FAME (Fitness and Mobility Exercise) is a community-based program for stroke survivors and is designed specifically and proven to improve fitness, mobility and strength. The small group class includes functional strength, agility and balance exercises. Suitable for people at any time after stroke who can stand for 5 minutes, walk for four metres (even with a walking aid) and communicate with the instructor.
