Traffic impacts in Southeast Kelowna for K.L.O. Road Bridge replacement

Starting Sunday, September 21, until mid-October, multiple evening closures and lane reductions will be required for construction of the K.L.O. Road Bridge replacement project. The project includes bridge replacement, area improvements, and roundabout installation to enhance traffic flow, safety, and active transportation options.

The anticipated work schedule is as follows:

K.L.O. Road between Hall Road and Como Road

  • Overnight work from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., five days a week.
    • September 21 to 25: Road closure with detour in place via Fisher Road.
    • September 23 and 25: Intermittent bridge closures in 30 to 45-minute intervals.
    • September 28 to October 9: Road reduced to single lane alternating traffic.

Hall Road between K.L.O. Road and Wildwood Road

  • Overnight work from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., five days a week.
    • October 14 to 17: Road reduced to single lane alternating traffic.

Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians can expect delays and may wish to choose other routes when possible. Access to the closed section of K.L.O. will be limited to residents of the area.

Please abide by safety personnel instructions, posted construction signage and fencing to ensure everyone’s safety while commuting through the area.
