Water Street closure, downtown parking restrictions Saturday

The BC Corvette Club’s 60th Anniversary Show & Shine will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Water Street between Grand Okanagan Resort and Prospera Place. For event details, visit bccorvetteclub.ca/show-shine.

To accommodate the event, Water Street from Sunset Drive to Cawston Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic from 7 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Traffic control personnel will be on site and motorists are advised to be aware of increased traffic in the area.

Parking in the Prospera Place parking lot will be partially restricted from 7 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Drivers are asked to adhere to signage on-site.

Residents can reduce traffic and parking congestion by choosing various modes of active transportation, such as biking, walking or carpooling.
