Lonesome Dove, taken from the title of the Larry McMurtry novel, combines a dream-like emersion into the Kathy Ager’s own cowboy past, the fruits of the present, and the painful memories that weave amongst them. Kathy loves how this one can be so personal to her, but the objects can also relate to the Okanagan area and history. The photo is the artist’s grandpa as a cowboy.
