Parkinson Recreation Centre annual pool, gymnasium closure begins next week

Parkinson Recreation Centre aquatics centre and gymnasium are closing for annual maintenance and cleaning. The swimming pools and aquatic area (including the steam room, hot tub and change rooms) will be closed from Tuesday, Sept. 2, until Sunday, Sept. 14, reopening on the 15th.

The gymnasium and gym changing rooms will be closed from Sept. 15-19. No drop-in basketball or volleyball will be available during this time. The gym will reopen on Sept. 20.

PRC monthly pass holders with active memberships will be able to use the 50 metre pool at H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre (4075 Gordon Drive) during the PRC maintenance closure (not including Punch Passes or Access Passes). Please note that there are limited hours – see the website for details.

Those looking to use the gym can use the facilities at Kelowna Family YMCA (375 Hartman Road). Parkinson Recreation Centre monthly pass holders will also have the missed time due to the closure added to their passes automatically.

Annual maintenance closures are necessary to maintain a clean and safe facility. We thank residents for their patience and understanding during this time.
