Last chance to order NeighbourWoods trees
Spring is the perfect time to plant a tree and Kelowna residents have until April 29 to take advantage of discounted trees through the City of Kelowna’s NeighbourWoods program. Residents can purchase up to two trees per household for just $50 + GST per tree, helping grow and preserve Kelowna’s urban forest while enhancing their own yard.
NeighbourWoods is a residential tree planting initiative that encourages Kelowna residents to help build a healthier, more resilient urban canopy. The urban canopy refers to the collection of trees and tree cover that provide shade and environmental benefits across our streets, parks and neighbourhoods. Since the program began, more than 8,300 discounted trees have been planted throughout Kelowna, creating long lasting benefits for the community.
Opportunity for stratas, schools, and community groups: Stratas, schools, and community groups can also take part in the NeighbourWoods program by requesting bulk tree purchases. Eligible groups can purchase up to 10 trees per group (with a maximum of three of the same species) at the same discounted rate of $50 + GST per tree. To request a bulk purchase, groups can call 250‑469‑8800.
