Monday - Friday 

 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Saturday & Sunday                

 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Sunday (Pool)

Parkinson Recreation Centre facilities include:

    • Available for ages 6 months to 5 years
    • Monday to Friday from 8:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
    • First come, first serve basis
    • $30 for 10 tickets; $18 for 5 tickets; $5 for drop-in            

Fitness Centre

The Fitness Centre at Parkinson Recreation Centre includes a circuit training room, weight room and cardio room. Check the fitness centre hours of operation before stopping in.

Please note the purchase of facility passes includes different training options:

  • Three Month Facility Passes include free group Fitness Centre orientation session
  • Six Month Facility Passes include 1/2 hour free Personal Training consultation (with Fitness Centre orientation) - one per person
  • One Year Facility Passes include 1 hour free Personal Training consultation (with Fitness Centre orientation) - one per person
    Fitness Centre Monitors
    Monitors are certified personal fitness trainers available to assist clients with equipment or workouts.

    The fitness monitor schedule:
Monday to Friday  6:30am - 9am; 10am* - 2:30pm; 4pm - 7pm  
 * with the exception of Thursday, the schedule is 10:30am to 2:30pm  
Saturday & Sunday  10am - 2:30pm  


Fitness Centre Orientations

Fitness Centre Orientations are available.  Orientations are conducted by certified trainers and registration is required.  The orientation fee is $7.00 and includes a Drop-in Fitness Centre Pass.  

Training Options

To make the most of your time in the Fitness Centre, consider working with a Personal Trainer. Sessions are by appointment only. Please call 250 469-8800 to book yours today.

New Personal Training

• 1 hour Personal Training session designed to suit your needs

Personal Training-Option #1

• 1.5 hours of initial assessment and program design suited to your needs
• 30 minutes of follow up
• One day pass to Fitness Centre & Pool

Personal Training-Option #2

• 1.5 hours of initial assessment and program design suited to your needs
• 1.5 hours of follow up over a period of four weeks
• One month pass to Fitness Centre & Pool

Physical Activity, Fitness, & Lifestyle Assessment

• 1.5 hours physical activity, fitness and lifestyle assessment
​• 1 hour follow up session to discuss results and develop personal recommendations

Personalized Weight Management

• 3 x 1 hour personal sessions with personal trainer and behavioral interventionist
​• Includes 1 month fitness and pool pass


Liaison Therapist (Navigator)
The City of Kelowna and Allied Health (Interior Health Authority) have partnered up to bridge the gap between acute care services and community services. These services support individuals' self management of their health and include a variety of different health programs to suit your needs. A liaison therapist (navigator) will be at the Parkinson Recreation Centre (see hours below) to assist the general public with encouragement and direction towards appropriate programming.
