Family Environment Day

In celebration of National Wildlife Week, the City of Kelowna will be participating in this year's Family Environment Day hosted by the Regional Parks Services on:

Date:  Sunday, April 5th
Time:  11:00 - 3:00
Location:  Mission Creek Park

This year's theme is "Our home and native plants."  When we think about wildlife, we tend to think about wild animals. Many couldn’t survive without the food and shelter provided by plants.

Canada has thousands of identified native plant species. But more than a quarter of them could be lost forever if we don’t do something to conserve them.
