Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
City trees and parks are maintained under an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program, which includes monitoring, prevention, and cultural and biological methods as the primary methods of pest management. Pesticides are used minimally, in accordance with the City's Pesticide Bylaw
, and consist primarily of environmentally friendly products such as dormant oil, soaps, or vinegar.
