Bike to Work Week May 30 to June 5 2011
What is Bike to Work Week?
Bike to Work Week is an amazing community event that encourages everyone to try commuter cycling by providing resources and support for new and continuing cyclists. Free events are held throughout the week and great prizes are available for registered teams.
What are the Bike to Work Teams?
Bike to Work Teams aren't teams in the traditional sense. Participants ride their own routes at the pace and schedule they choose, and then record their participation on a sign up sheet at their workplace.
Throughout the week, workplace teams can compete to outdo each other's participation by getting their co-workers to ride their bicycles to work. Winning teams are determined based on a percentage of participation.
Who can join a team?
Your team can be made up of your entire workplace, or a single department or group, it's up to you. There is no limit to the number of teams per organization, so make it a friendly competition by challenging another department or work site to form a team!
How do I start a team?
Go to the Team Leader Hub for important information on registration for new and returning team.
