Financial Services

park, waterfrontFinancial Services provides various departments and Council with day-to-day financial advice on all matters involving the expenditure of funds and/or generation of revenue on a policy and ad-hoc basis. The Department develops and implements long-range plans which meet the capital and operating needs of the community within the guidelines of the City's Strategic Plan and Official Community Plan.

The Financial Services Department is responsible for:

  • advice and guidance to Council and City Management;
  • financial planning, budgeting and reporting;
  • corporate payroll  and investments;
  • property taxes, general accounts receivable, utility billing and cash collections; and
  • administration support for Kelowna RCMP
