Active Living

A key component to health is active living – you know what they say, move it or lose it! We’d prefer you move it and know lots of great ways for you to get active!

Cycling on Path

You might have heard we have fitness classes and programs – lots of them! Our highly trained staff can help you towards your fitness goals, the side effect being good health and healthy doses of fun. You could also participate in the circuit orientation (learn how to work out in the weight room) at the Parkinson Recreation Centre or ask one of the trainers who are available at specific times to help with your training questions.

Feeling a little less mainstream programming, a little more specialized/rehabilitative? We’ve got you covered. How does chair yoga, balance matters, cardio tone & stretch, strength and flexibility and arthritis fitness sound?

Cycling and Mountain Biking are great ways to keep fit and get around our city.  If you are looking to relax, there is no better place than the many beaches on the shores of Okanagan Lake.

Looking for a place to go for a walk? The City of Kelowna has numerous pathways to go for a walk or hike, including the popular Mission Creek Greenway. There are also numerous Provincial and Regional Parks in our backyard.

All these great choices, we feel healthier already, don’t you?
