Glenmore Landfill

landfill_pond.jpgThe Glenmore Landfill at 1595 Glenmore Road North is open seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Owned and operated by the City of Kelowna, the facility serves as the solid waste disposal facility for residents within the Central Okanagan Regional District and offers a variety of disposal options on site including recycling, organic materials, household and commercial waste.

For detailed information of what can be taken to the Glenmore Landfill, see the Accepted Products list. Tipping Fees or rates may apply.

The Landfill also sells OgoGrow and GlenGrow. Suitable for landscaping projects and gardening, these popular soil amendment products cost $31.43 per yard (loaded up to 4:00 pm) or $4.19 per bag (bags are provided), plus applicable taxes.

Tie it, strap it, tarp it

Please be sure to cover and secure your load with a tarp in accordance with local bylaws and to keep our roads safe and clean.

Residents that neglect to cover their landfill loads, risk causing debris to fall and create a safety hazard to vehicles driving behind, as well as pedestrians and cyclists who share the road.

The fine for an uncovered or unsecured load is up to $150.

Repair Café

Can you fix it? Avoid the trip to the landfill and take part in the Regional District of the Central Okanagan's Repair Café. The event is held in the spring and the fall.

At the Repair Café, you will find all the tools and materials you need to make repairs. Plus volunteer specialists will be on hand to help guide the repairs. Volunteers are always needed, contact the Waste Reduction Office at 250-469-6250 or email, if you are interested.

Visit for dates and more information.
