8th Annual "Night of the Arts" Fundraiser ConcertNightoftheArts

Date: Saturday, November 17 (7:00 PM)
Price: by donation
Tickets: by donation

An all-star cast of outstanding Okanagan musicians and artists will perform at the eighth annual Night of the Arts concert Saturday, Nov. 17.

Multiple Juno and Canadian Country Music Association award nominees The Cruzeros will headline the evening.  Joining The Cruzeros on stage as outstanding musical acts will be the folk/gospel recording artist Corey Doak, the award smashing rock band Ten2Nine, and the Deb Stone Band.

Joyful Door, a band with strong ties to Metro Community, will open the show, while talented Justin Dueck will entertain patrons in the theatre lobby at the start of the evening. In addition to the music, organizers of the annual November event have convinced comedian Maureen Postnikoff to join the show.

Admission is by donation. All proceeds from the concert and fundraiser go to Metro Community, a local organization that offers assistance to those at risk within our community.

Metro Central, a coffee shop, library, counseling facility in the downtown area, is one example of Metro’s help.

Metro Community workers and volunteers have put together an excellent silent auction table as part of the night’s fun and fundraising.

Organized and hosted by Capital News columnist Charlie Hodge and Curtis Tulman, the Night of the Arts annually has raised thousands of dollars to assist the homeless, recovering drug addicts, and youth and families at risk in our community.

Benefactors again this year for the Night of the Arts is Metro Communities of Kelowna.  Metro is a faith-based organization that effectively ministers to Kelowna’s street community and provides a shelter in the proverbial storm of life.
