Free Community Programs
The City of Kelowna is proud to offer no cost programming in our parks for all ages and abilities.
Residents and visitors should also check out the various free or by donation programs offered by Festivals Kelowna (like Parks Alive!).
Dancing in the Park
Dancing in the Park first took place in 2011 as part of a City initiative to promote healthy, active living by providing free dance lessons to members of the community. Zumba, hip hop and country are just some of the many dance styles featured.
The program takes place at Stuart Park and runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday in July and August.
Park & Play
Park & Play encourage families with children to be active during the summer months. With a focus on connecting neighbours to each other and their surroundings, this program helps turn neighbours into communities.
Park & Play is a free family event that runs weeknights from 5-8 p.m. throughout July and August.
Culture Days is a collaborative coast-to-coast-to-coast volunteer movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.
Artists, organizations and community groups in Kelowna will be hosting free, participatory arts and culture activities during the Culture Days weekend, and you are invited.
The annual event is held in September. To search for activities in Kelowna, go to culturedays.ca.
