Work has begun on Kelowna International Airport’s runway with 7300 feet of the airport’s runway currently receiving new surface paving treatments.
With safety being top priority at YLW, the airport conducts annual maintenance for filling cracks and potential holes in the runway; however, it has been 26 years since a complete rejuvenation has occurred. Allocation in the 2012 budget has made this an optimal time for the work to be done.
