Communities in Bloom Committee

Originally formed in 1996 to support involvement in provincial and national competitions, the Communities in Bloom Committee was established as an advisory committee of Council on January 17, 2011.

At the national and provincial level, Communities in Bloom is a non-profit organization committed to fostering civic pride, environmental responsibility and beautification through community involvement and promotion of green spaces in community settings.

The committee supports a number of annual initiatives and programs related to the Communities in Bloom mandate, such as Green Thumb and Beauty Spot Awards. Visit the Communities in Bloom webpage for details on these local programs and the local Communities in Bloom movement.
