On Wednesday, October 28 from 4:30 to 7 p.m., the City of Kelowna invites residents to an open house at the Rotary Centre for the Arts to learn more about the Outdoor Events Plan and provide their comments.
"Kelowna is host to numerous outdoor events that range from small events that last a few hours to major events that last multiple days, and can attract thousands of spectators or participants," says Jim Gabriel, Director of Recreation and Culture. "Input from key stakeholders and the community is important as we finalize the plan."
This process will enable the City to better understand the changing environment in hosting outdoor events and develop strategies to balance the interests of local neighbourhoods and the community as a whole.
A brief presentation is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to present the preliminary findings and draft recommendations.
