Birkdale Park
Birkdale Park is a neighbourhood park in the Black Mountain area. Located at the intersection of Black Mountain Drive and Birkdale Avenue, it will accommodate residents of all ages.
Due to the natural terrain of the area, the park include several sustainable features such as a minimal irrigated lawn area with low water-use native grassland and plant material, rainwater runoff catchment areas, and the use of durable, natural materials.
Features of the park include:
- Adventure playground
- Pathway
- Tennis court
- Lookouts/seating areas with panoramic views of Black Mountain
Birkdale Park constrution has recently been completed and is funded from municipal, federal, and provincial sources.
