Background
The Glenmore Bypass has been in the Transportation Network and the Official Community Plan (OCP) since 1986 and approved by Council in the 2009 Municipal Budget.
Together these plans set out a 20 Year Major Road Network Plan and guide decision-making with respect to the provision, programming, design, construction and operations of roads within Kelowna.
The detailed design for the Glenmore Bypass from Dallas Road to north of Scenic Road was completed by Associated Engineering. In June 2009, Council awarded the 2 year construction contract to Ansell Construction Ltd.
