Schedule
The first phase of four-laning Gordon Drive from Cook to Lanfranco Roads and off-road multi-use pathway is completed.
The Mission Creek Bridge on Gordon Drive will be raised to accommodate year-round access to the Mission Greenway, widen to four lanes of traffic as well as include a shared pedestrian/cycling pathway running over Mission Creek. The project begins at Cook Road and ends at Lexington Road.
Gordon Drive at the bridge will be closed in June to motorists for three months. However, the construction is expected to be five months in duration.
Alternate routes include Dehart Road to Swamp Road, and Lakeshore Road.
Construction is necessary during the summer. The creek flows are at the lowest and will help mitigate environmental impacts to the creek and aquatic life.
Contractor: to be determined Consultant: Stantec Cost: Phase 1 - $2.6-million, Phase 2 - $6.4-million Funding in part by the Infrastructure Stimulus Fund
