Mountain Bike Skills Park
Kelowna’s first mountain bike skills park is located on a 3.4 hectare site at 1960 Hollywood Road South, adjacent to the Mission Creek Greenway. The new park is operated by the Mountain Bikers of the Central Okanagan .
Activities within the skills park range from simple ladder bridges, skinnies, small beams, and whoop-de-doos. The skills park provides the opportunity for mountain bikers of all levels of experience to develop a range of skills including bike handling, balancing, jumping and turning.
For park schedules, programs and events see the MBCO website . The need for a mountain bike skills park was identified as part of the 2008 Kelowna & Area Mountain Bike Strategy. The park, worth $242,000, was designed by a mountain bike park expert in collaboration with local riders.
