Introduction
The upgrade of Gordon Drive Bridge will include the construction of a new four-lane bridge over Mission Creek, to complete the improvements along Gordon Drive from Lanfranco to Cook Roads. Mission Creek Greenway users will have continuous access without crossing Gordon Drive.
Off-road multi-use pathway
The first phase of construction of the one kilometre off-road pathway was completed in the fall of 2009 along with the widening of Gordon Drive from Cook to Lanfranco Roads. A connection to Lakeshore Road via Casorso-Barrera Roads is scheduled for construction in the fall of 2010. This connection will provide a safe connection for pedestrians and cyclists to the city's recreation corridors.
