Most Environmentally Friendly Commuter
2010 Winner: Grant Rice
Grant is an example of dedication to environmentally sustainable transportation. Through his volunteer work with the Kelowna and Area Cycling Coalition, Grant is a tireless advocate and educator on the benefits of commuter cycling and other modes of active transportation. He walks the walk, too. While most people have an automobile as a backup for bad weather days, Grant has a back-up bike with fenders and wider tires.
Runners up are Garth Thomson and Grant Halm.
