Environmental Mind Grind
In 2011, two high school, 11 middle school and 14 elementary school teams from across the Central Okanagan faced off at the 2011 event. This Environmental Mind Grind was the last for the City of Kelowna.
This environmental trivia game came with a fully prepared teaching package and quizzes students’ knowledge on a variety of issues including: energy conservation; waste reduction; species and spaces; transportation demand management; climate change; forestry; and water. All contest questions are based on information provided in study booklets that are designed to meet prescribed learning outcomes.
The City invites parents, guardians and teachers to continue to access the packages that were developed in 2011, even though an event will not be held.
