Weekend of family fun and holiday hours at City properties

To mark the BC Family Day statutory holiday, City Hall will be closed Monday, Feb. 17.

Celebrate Family Day weekend at one of four free family events:

  • Friday, Feb. 14 - Family Active Night at Rutland Activity Centre
    Enjoy free floor hockey and games in the gymnasium from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Feb. 15 - Free Family Skating at Rutland Arena
    Free skating and family-friendly activities from 1 - 3:15 p.m. 
  • Saturday, Feb. 15 - Family Glow Night at Parkinson Recreation Centre
    Free family dance night with guest DJ from 6 - 8:30 p.m. Wear white or neon!
  • Monday, Feb. 17 - Family Day Fun at Capital News Centre
    Free skating, winter sports demos, soccer on the fields, Park & Play inflatables and more at Capital News Centre from 1 - 4 p.m. Donations will be accepted in support of Jumpstart.

Parkinson Recreation Centre will be open on Family Day Monday with holiday hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Glenmore Landfill will be open regular hours, 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. The Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery administration office will be closed Monday. Cemetery gates are open throughout the long weekend from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
