Thanksgiving hours of operation at civic properties
In observance of Thanksgiving, City Hall will be closed Monday, Oct. 8.
The Glenmore Landfill will be open regular hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Fall OgoGrow and GlenGrow are still available, with pickup until 4 p.m.
Be thankful for health and enjoy activities at Parkinson Recreation Centre this weekend, including Monday when hours have been adjusted to 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the holiday.
The Kelowna Memorial Cemetery administration office will be closed on Oct. 8, however the Cemetery itself will remain open all weekend from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
As you prepare holiday meals this weekend, a reminder to cease the grease and properly dispose of fats and oils. These can cause sewer blockages and build-up under the sink. Instead it is best to put cooled oil into a can or container and dispose of it in the trash.
