Remembrance Day hours of operation at civic properties
As we take a moment to remember those who have sacrificed for our freedom on Sunday, City Hall will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12, in lieu of the statutory holiday.
On Sunday, Nov. 11, the Royal Canadian Legion will hold its annual Remembrance Day parade in downtown Kelowna and the Army, Navy and Air Force veterans will hold their parade in Rutland. A reminder that roads will be temporarily closed to accommodate the parades between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. with RCMP providing traffic control along both parade routes. The Glenmore Landfill will be open regular hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Nov. 11 and 12.
Parkinson Recreation Centre will be open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, and from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12.
The Kelowna Memorial Cemetery administration office will be closed on Nov. 11 and 12, but the Cemetery itself will remain open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the weekend.
