Kicking off GoByBike Week in the Central Okanagan

Spring GoByBike Week in Kelowna and the Central Okanagan is in full swing, with events and activities until June 4.

GoByBike Week is a chance to explore Kelowna by bike, visit celebration stations across the city, and win amazing prizes from local businesses. 

From May 29 to June 2, weekday Celebration Stations will be hosted in and around the Central Okanagan including fun activities and giveaways sponsored by local businesses:

Monday, May 29: Kick off event in Stuart Park, Downtown from 7 to 9 a.m.

Tuesday, May 30:  The Rail Trail at Clement & Spall (back of Parkinson Recreation Centre) from 7 to 9 a.m.

Wednesday, May 31: Grizzli Winery, West Kelowna along the Boucherie Multi-Use Pathway from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m.

Thursday, June 1: Ben Lee Park in Rutland along the Houghton Multi-Use Path from 4 to 6 p.m. 

Friday, June 2: Wrap up event at Railside Brewing (just off the Rail Trail at High St) from 4 to 7 p.m.

Satellite stations will also be held at various locations across the Central Okanagan, where residents can stop by local organizations and businesses for refreshments, snacks, activities and more. Locations can be found on the Kelowna and Central Okanagan GoByBike Week itinerary.

Individuals and teams can register for an account on GoByBikeBC.ca to log their bike rides for a chance to win local and provincial prizes. Local prizes include gift cards to local businesses, including King Taps, Parlour Ice Cream and Urban Harvest, as well as an OKGN Lifestyle Prize Pack and much more. The provincial grand prize is a self-guided cycling adventure for two in Croatia.
