Kuipers development

Council OK’d a development permit for a 32-unit multi-family housing development, including 13 duplex units and two triplex units, at 796 Kuipers Crescent. The property is adjacent to Kuipers’ Peak Mountain Park and Thomson Flats. A portion of land adjacent to the park will be dedicated to the City and a trail will be constructed connecting the existing trail down to Kuipers Crescent.

Infrastructure project update

Infrastructure Delivery staff updated Council on the status of 2020 Capital and Operating projects. The department manages some 130 different projects each year worth $60-$70 million. See project highlights here.

Regional Emergency Management

Council approved a formal agreement for the City, through Kelowna Fire Department, to continue overseeing the Regional Emergency Program. The program provides support to all communities within the Regional District of Central Okanagan in times of emergency or disaster.
