Highlights of January 7 Council meeting
Downtown multi-family development
Council gave first reading to the proposed rezoning amendments for multi-family housing at 1028, 1036 & 1044 Coronation Avenue, and forwarded the project to a future public hearing. The proposal is for a 3-1/2 storey 16-unit townhouse development. The three existing homes on the property will be demolished.
Council deferred a decision on issuing a development permit for 154 row housing units at 610 Academy Way. Each unit in the ‘Academy Ridge’ development proposal would contain three bedrooms. Council will reconsider the permit once they hear more information from the developer relating to the form and character of the development proposal.
