Sexsmith boat and RV storage

Council gave first reading to proposed rezoning amendments for an outdoor boat and RV storage at 2960 Sexsmith Road, and forwarded the project to a future public hearing.

Bernard Avenue multi-family housing

A development permit was issued for a new row housing project consisting of four, three-bedroom units at the corner of Bernard Avenue and Lakeview Street. The existing home on the property will be demolished.

Wildfire fuel mitigation

Council agreed to apply for up to $100,000 in provincial grant funding to help mitigate forest fire risks. In addition to work already done each year, staff want to initiate strategic planning and development opportunities to reduce wildfire risk and complete a wildfire fuel mitigation project across the eastern area of Knox Mountain Park.
