Get back in the game with Kelowna’s Summer Activity & Program Guide
Kelowna’s 2021 Summer Activity & Program Guide is now online featuring safely adapted recreation and cultural programs for all ages and abilities. With the Province’s recently published Restart Plan in effect, more programs will be available this season, including the immediate return of adult sport leagues and indoor adult and fitness programs.
Summer sport league registration has opened early for slo-pitch leagues and beach volleyball and is open now at kelowna.ca/sports until June 8. All other adult sport programs will open for registration on June 9, except pickleball programs which open June 8.
“The Restart Plan allows for more active opportunities now, especially for adults,” said Mariko Siggers, Community & Neighbourhood Services Manager. “We’re optimistic about the progressive restart to be able to bring back even more programs and services when it’s deemed safe to do so.”
Summer camps are also open now for registration. Full, half and partial day camps are available for children ages 3-14 at locations across Kelowna. Camps fill up quickly, so caregivers are reminded to register early to get a spot in their desired camp. See the Summer Camps Guide to learn more.
New this summer, several programs will be available on Bernard Avenue as part of the Meet me on Bernard initiative. Find fitness, dance and creativity workshops and programs throughout July and August for all ages.
Summer program registration will open next week at kelowna.ca/recreation. Please note that this season’s guide is available online only. All City programs and recreation facilities have been adapted with safety in mind and will continue to be subject to change to ensure alignment with the latest COVID-19 safety guidelines from the Province.
