Get ‘eventive’, get involved - have your say on events in Kelowna

July 20, 2021

Event season has returned to Kelowna and we’re inviting residents to contribute to Kelowna’s first ever Event Strategy. There are also upcoming opportunities for residents and visitors to share ideas to help develop a future ‘signature event’ for Kelowna.

“Our goal is to foster an eventful city, not just a city full of events,” says Chris Babcock, Event Development Supervisor. “We’re engaging with our event industry partners and residents to ensure that future events hosted in our city help to bolster our community pride as we strive for a vibrant and inclusive event culture here in Kelowna.”

Visit the Event Strategy project site at until September 7 to suggest event location ideas, share and vote on other residents’ ideas and complete our surveys and polls. When you engage, enter to win prizes including an inflatable stand up paddleboard!

“In addition to our event strategy, we’re also seeking ideas as to what Kelowna’s signature event could be,” says Babcock. “We invite our residents to be creative, tell us their ideas, and help us develop an event that reflects who we are and who we want to be.”

Inspiration for those ideas will be readily available along Kelowna’s waterfront at Get Eventive Days: two weekend-long events spanning from Waterfront Park to City Park on July 24 and 25 and August 21 and 22.

Get Eventive DaysDates: July 24 & 25 and August 21 & 22Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.Location: Along the waterfront promenade from Waterfront Park to City Park
