Business licence renewals due next week on Jan. 15
Business owners operating in the City of Kelowna are reminded that 2019 business licence renewals are due by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15. All registered operating businesses were mailed a renewal notice in December.
Business licences can be renewed by:
- Going online to pay with a Visa or Mastercard at kelowna.ca/onlineservices. The access code provided on your renewal notice is needed
- Visiting us in person at City Hall for payments by cheque, money order, debit or cash
- Mailing a cheque or money order to: City Hall Business Licencing, 1435 Water Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 1J4
Updates and changes to an existing Business Licence can be made by calling 250-469-8960 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For businesses that are no longer operational, a Business Licence can be cancelled by calling 250-469-8617 or by email at email@example.com.
Mobile businesses — those doing business in more than one community but with only one fixed location— can simplify licensing and reduce costs by obtaining a Mobile Business Licence for an additional $150 annual fee.

Having a valid business licence is a requirement to operate within the City of Kelowna. It is an offense to operate without one and may result in fines or additional enforcement action.
