Public service announcement

Business owners operating in the City of Kelowna are reminded that 2019 business licence renewals are due by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15. All registered operating businesses were mailed a renewal notice in December.

Business licences can be renewed by:

  • Going online to pay with a Visa or Mastercard at kelowna.ca/onlineservices. The access code provided on your renewal notice is needed
  • Visiting us in person at City Hall for payments by cheque, money order, debit or cash
  • Mailing a cheque or money order to: City Hall Business Licencing, 1435 Water Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 1J4

Updates and changes to an existing Business Licence can be made by calling 250-469-8960 or by e-mail at developmentservicesinfo@kelowna.ca.

For businesses that are no longer operational, a Business Licence can be cancelled by calling 250-469-8617 or by email at businesslicences@kelowna.ca.

Mobile businesses — those doing business in more than one community but with only one fixed location— can simplify licensing and reduce costs by obtaining a Mobile Business Licence for an additional $150 annual fee.
