Kelowna Fire Department is now hiring!
The City of Kelowna’s Fire Department (KFD) is looking to hire people who are committed to helping others and to protecting our community as part of our Paid (On-Call) Volunteer Fire Fighting team! The team is selected through an annual recruitment campaign and is trained to provide on-call emergency response, public education and rescue services for the City of Kelowna and other jurisdictions, as needed. To be hired for this position, successful applicants must:
- Be 19 years of age or older
- Pass a physical job performance assessment
- Participate in an interview
- Pass a medical examination, which includes minimum visual and hearing requirements
- Successfully complete the fire service training program
