Civic Operations

Infrastructure Operations is responsible for the sustainable maintenance and operations of City roadways, parkland, landfill and utilities.
The Department is comprised of four branches:
- Administrative Services
- Parks Services
- Transportation Services
- Utility Services
Park Services
Parks Services is responsible for maintenance of all landscaping within all city owned beaches and parks, sports fields, natural areas and city owned property including landscaping within road rights of way.
This Branch also manages and operates Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
Transportation Services
Transportation Services manages the City's equipment fleet and
maintains all roads, bridges, sidewalks, hard landscape features and furniture.
The Roads Section is responsible for:
Traffic Operations maintains and operates traffic signals, signs, road line markings and also manages road usage permits.
The Vehicle and Equipment Section procures and maintains the City equipment fleet of over 400 vehicles and the management of hired equipment.
Utility Services
The Utility Services Branch provides electricity, water, wastewater and waste and recycling services for residents and businesses within our service boundaries.
