Airport Way Revitalization

Work begins this spring on Phase II of the Airport Way Rehabilitation Project along the south end of Airport Way.

The project includes the addition of a dedicated right turn lane on Airport Way southbound, utility upgrades, road repaving and a multi-use pathway. The project will feature aesthetic enhancements including landscaping, trees, sidewalks and streetlights.

The project will mirror the work completed during Phase 1 of the project and will further enhance and beautify Airport Way.

Project Schedule
Monday, June 4 until late fall, 2012 - Now Complete
Contractor:  City of Kelowna and sub-contractors
Cost: $1 million

Impact on passengers, tenants and guests during construction will be minimal. Traffic off Highway 97 entrance onto Airport Way may experience very slight delays. Vehicles arriving to the airport are requested to follow the temporary signage and instructions of the flag crews during construction.
