Hwy 33 Multi-use PathwayMutli use pathway

Introduction

The City of Kelowna has taken the lead to design and construct a multi-use pathway along the north side of Hwy 33 from McKenzie Road to Black Mountain Road.  This includes new transit related infrastructure improvements such as the addition of large transit shelters as well as new pedestrian benches, and waste receptacles.

The 3.5 metre wide pathway replaces the previously envisioned hard surface boulevard and concrete sidewalk. The pathway will enhance and promote walking, cycling and other modes of active transportation.

Project Schedule & Cost

This project is now complete.  The cost estimate for this project is $1.5 million funded under the Canada-BC Infrastructure Stimulus funds and the City of Kelowna.
