City Council approved the provisional 2010 Financial Plan, which projects an average municipal tax increase of 1.6 per cent in 2010.
The City's budget for 2010 is $93 million. A tax increase of 1.6 per cent translates into a tax increase of about $25 for the owner of an average $486,000 Kelowna home. See the council changes section for details.
The capital program provides more than $75 million for:
- additional parks acquisition and development
- transportation improvements and multi-use corridor construction
