Tennis & Pickleball Courts
All City courts are open to the public free of charge on a first come first served basis, subject to rules posted at individual courts. Specified courts may be closed to public use due to scheduled lessons, rentals or maintenance.
Please note: The tennis courts located at City Park are closed until spring 2015 for maintenance.
What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a mini-tennis game played by two or four people on a badminton-sized court, however, tennis court nets can also be used. Pickleball uses wood paddle racquets and a plastic poly baseball with holes. The painted lines in pickle-ball game are yellow, while tennis lines are white. Pickleball is a combination sport of ping-pong, tennis, and badminton.
There are six courts at the Parkinson Recreation Centre dedicated to Pickleball. Most other courts are shared use. Check out the map for more details and locations.
