FamilyY_1.jpgKelowna Family Y

For almost 30 years, the Kelowna Family Y has been a place where children, families, and adults come to belong, improve their health, learn to swim and care for their families. A $6.9 million project is underway to expand facilities, providing access for twice as many residents. 

An open house was held on April 20, 2010 to review the future plans for the Family Y.

Funding sources

Lifelong learning & healthy activity spaces

  • children’s centre
  • youth zone
  • suspended run/walking track open to individuals of all ages and abilities
  • gymnasium and indoor playground
  • preventative health & learning spaces

Project Schedule

Construction: August 2010 to May 2011
Contractor: BPR Construction Ltd.
Cost: $6.9 million
