Recreation Facility Projects Thanks in part to support from the Recreation Infrastructure Canada Program  , more than $8 million in recreational facility improvements are underway.
Apple Bowl
- Installation of a new track drainage system.
- Replacement and Relocation of the high jump and javelin venues.
- Replacement of the existing long jump triple jump venue.
Construction schedule: Completed May 2010
Elks and Kings Stadiums
- Elks Stadium: new field lighting system and backstop - completed
- Elks Stadium: new grand stand canopy - completion Fall 2010
- Kings Stadium: installation of new aluminum bleachers, netting, perimetre fence and landscaping - expected completion August 15 2010
Rutland Arena
- Replacement of West Arena surface for ice slab - completion July 2010
- Replacement of West Arena roof - complete
