Heritage Applications
The following programs and applications are used to aid in the preservation and restoration of heritage properties in Kelowna.
- Heritage Conservation Areas are distinct areas with special heritage value and character, identified for long term protection.
- Heritage Revitalization Agreements allow heritage properties to be used for purposes different then which the current zoning of the property would allow.
- Heritage Alteration Permits are an approval to accommodate modifications to a protected heritage property.

The City also annually allocates funds to the Kelowna Heritage Foundation, which is a registered society that provides grants to homeowners for heritage restoration and education/awareness projects. To view the grant guidelines and application form, see the Heritage Grants Program
