Once you've completed any development permits (if necessary), you can apply for building permits at City Hall. See the online checklists for what to submit with your building application.
The Process
All Industrial, commercial, institutional and multi-family Development applications are reviewed by the Advisory Planning Commission (APC) and City Staff prior to consideration by City Council. Please note this process can take up to 3 -6 month to complete.
Applications can be submitted with payment to the One-window service centre on the second floor of City Hall. Applications reviewed by APC cost anywhere from $578-$4000. For full costs see the Development Applications Fee bylaw
