Freedom of the City

The Freedom of the City is the highest award bestowed by the City of Kelowna, and is only awarded as a unanimous decision of City Council. Reserved for individuals or organizations of exceedingly high merit, the Freedom of the City award recognizes outstanding community contributions of benefit to Kelowna.

“Freedom of the City” is an honorary designation that has been awarded infrequently since 1946.
