Photo Contest Details
The City of Kelowna Parks Division holds an annual "Summer in the Park" photo contest. Photographers are encouraged to capture the natural beauty or recreation action taking place in one of the many City parks and beaches.
2008 Prizes
Prizes for 2008 included:
- First Prize: Nikon D40 Digital SLR with 18 - 55 Zoom Lens (retail value $520) donated by Lens and Shutter Cameras
- Second Prize: Manfrotto Tripod and Head Outfit (retail value $250) donated by Lens and Shutter Cameras
- Third Prize: Lowepro Compuday Pack (retail value $120) donated by Lens and Shutter Cameras
Mayor's Choice Award
Mayor Sharon Shepherd personally selected the photo she felt best represents what parks mean to the community.
- Prize: $100 Lens & Shutter Cameras Gift Certificate
All contestants were amateur photographers and all photos were taken in a City park. All submissions may be used in future City of Kelowna communications materials as well as distributed to various media. All photos submitted become the sole ownership of the City.
