This global leader in marketing, selling and distributing food and supplies to restaurants and institutions throughout the B.C. Interior takes a long-term view of its place on the planet. A complete review of environmental impacts has reduced fuel consumption, reduced paper use by 25 per cent, on-site battery and light bulb recycling, and is developing a buy-local food network. Soon, it will have its own composting program, put electronic monitors on all delivery trucks to further improve its ‘green routing’ delivery system and create a sustainable purchasing strategy for all suppliers to follow.
